At the conclusion of the 2019 OHH Houston Golf Tournament, as has become tradition, longstanding OHH Corporate Members, the Rig Riders M/C, presents their annual contribution to the organization at this event. This year, the organization set a personal best, proudly presenting OHH with a donation of more than $40,000. This contribution to the ongoing mission of OHH to help oilfield families in financial crisis elevates the Rig Riders M/C to Elite corporate membership status.
This group of riders is a non-profit organization formed to bring together people employed in the oil & gas industry who share a common interest in motorcycles and charitable activities; to promote good fellowship and safe motorcycling; to develop better relations between the general public, the media, and riders of motorcycles; and to perform one or more charitable activities with its membership for the benefit of this community.
Gene Pate, OHH chairman of the board, shared, “OHH is greatly blessed by the ongoing giving spirit of the Rig Riders, both in their financial contributions, but also by their presence at our various meetings and events as volunteers, sponsors and participants. They are a large part of the OHH family, and we are so grateful for their support.”
Chris Miller, Rig Riders national president, explained, “The hearts and missions of the Rig Riders and Oilfield Helping Hands are in sync. By being a corporate member of OHH, we know our riders are eligible for assistance should they fall on hard times. Plus, we trust that the funds contributed to OHH will be handled well and get into the hands of our brothers and sisters in the oil and gas industry who need it most.”
