The OHH family suffered a significant loss in the passing of longtime volunteer Alicia Torben on June 20, 2021.

A proud supporter of OHH for many years, those closest to her heart were the children of Bluebonnet Youth Ranch, a long-term, residential home for dependent, abused, and neglected children, a charity that OHH has partnered with for many years, primarily due to Alicia’s leadership. She was responsible for organizing the children’s fishing trip in conjunction with the OHH Saltwater Splash each year in Port O’Connor.

Alicia started her professional career as a secretary with Weatherford in the late ’70s, and in the late ’80s, she was promoted to an outside sales representative, a position fit for her outgoing personality. She remained in that position until she retired.

We celebrate the incredible and generous spirit Alicia brought to our organization, and we are forever grateful for her years of service.
