The Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH) Rocky Mountain Chapter, a non-profit organization helping oilfield families in financial crisis due to no fault of their own, has been named as a beneficiary and grant recipient of the Colorado Energy Foundation this year.

The Colorado Energy Foundation was incorporated in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association. The Colorado Energy Foundation seeks to amplify existing philanthropic efforts of the oil and gas industry in Colorado and develop new community partnerships through strategic investment.

The Colorado Energy Foundation is supported by a diverse community of companies and individuals in the broader oil and gas industry in Colorado. This year, four non-profits were selected as grant recipients by the Colorado Energy Foundation, including OHH.

Sara Reynolds, executive director, Colorado Energy Foundation, said, “Each of the community partners selected for funding this year share a common thread – they are committed to ensuring equity and access for all Coloradans through their mission. Whether they are ensuring access to life-changing opportunities, such as affordable home-ownership, resources in a time of personal crisis, affordable and reliable utility assistance, or preservation and access to the beautiful outdoors in our great state, each of these organizations have a fundamental impact on our communities.”

The Colorado Energy Foundation is co-hosting a fundraising gala to benefit the 2020 cohort of grant recipients. The annual Mardi Gras Ball is scheduled for Friday, February 21 at the Exdo Event Center in Denver, Colorado. All proceeds will directly support the four grant recipients, including OHH.

Sally Hallingstad, OHH Rocky Mountain Chapter president, said, “We are honored to be included in the first-ever cohort of community non-profits to receive grant funding in 2020 from the Colorado Energy Foundation.
