Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH), a non-profit organization that helps oilfield families in financial crisis due to no fault of their own, is excited to announce the launch of its Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. The chapter fosters support within the oil and gas community by connecting individuals and organizations committed to improving the lives of families in times of crisis in the industry.
The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter will serve the surrounding counties, creating a strong network of collaboration and mutual assistance among oilfield workers and their families. This new chapter represents OHH’s ongoing commitment to strengthen and support the oil and gas workforce. It will provide more opportunities for industry employees who meet the eligibility criteria to access OHH’s grant assistance.
Nate LaRue, president, OHH Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, said, “OHH has a long-standing tradition of assisting oilfield families during challenging times, our mission is to ensure that no one in our community faces these difficulties alone. Together, we can make a significant difference in the DFW area.”
The Dallas/Fort Worth leadership team includes President Nate LaRue of Kingsley Directional, Vice President Stephen Martinez of S.Mart Consulting, Vice President Chris Favors of Favors Business Solutions, Vice President Brian Blessie of Savanna Drilling Corp., Secretary/Treasurer Mark Ritchie of Matador Resources, Event Coordinator Corrine Grice of Moffit Services, Event Coordinator Lacey Blankenship of Moffit Services, Event Coordinator Ciji Hunt of Endurance Lift Solutions, Corporate Membership Liaison Mitch Jones of MidCentral Energy and Volunteer Coordinator Angela Martin of Halcyon Equipment.
Gene Pate, chairman of the board, OHH, said, “We are excited to extend our reach to the Dallas/Fort Worth area with the launch of our newest chapter. This expansion allows us to better serve the oilfield community and provide crucial support to those in need. We are committed to making a difference and look forward to the positive impact we can achieve within all of our chapters.”
Since its start in 2003, OHH has provided over $6.4 million in aid to more than 1,000 industry workers and their families. The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter joins six other active OHH chapters serving the oilfield community across the United States, including Appalachia, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Permian Basin, Rocky Mountain, and the flagship chapter in Houston.
OHH operates with the support of volunteers and corporate sponsorships, alongside funds raised from various events throughout the year. To learn more about supporting OHH or to get involved, please visit oilfieldhelpinghands.org.
