HOW TO GET HELP

Financial assistance from Oilfield Helping Hands is available to anyone who meets our criteria. To be considered as a potential OHH recipient, you must first complete and submit the application for the assistance form below.

All current employees of Gold, Platinum and Elite corporate members that live and/or work in the lower 48 states, and meet pre-qualification criteria are eligible to apply for assistance.

TO QUALIFY FOR ASSISTANCE

To qualify for assistance, applicants must either work for one of our corporate members or live and/or work within one of the areas covered by an OHH chapter:

- Appalachia – Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia, and Central and Southwestern Pennsylvania.  Eastern Ohio counties include (Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Jefferson, Belmont, Monroe, Washington, Meigs, Athens, Morgan, Noble, Guernsey, Muskingum, Coshocton, Tuscarawas, Harrison, Carroll, Holmes, Wayne, Stark, Portage, Summit, Medina.)  Northern West Virginia counties include (Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Monongalia, Preston, Taylor, Marion, Tyler, Doddridge, Harrison, Lewis, Gilmer, Ritchie, Pleasants, Wood, Wirt, Calhoun, Roane, Jackson.)  Central and Southwestern Pennsylvania counties include (Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Beaver, Washington, Greene, Fayette, Westmoreland, Allegheny, Butler, Venango, Warren, Forest, Clarion, Armstrong, Somerset, Cambria, Indiana, Jefferson, Elk, McKean, Potter, Cameron, Clearfield, Blair, Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Centre, Clinton, Tioga, Lycoming, Union, Sullivan, Bradford, Wyoming, Susquehanna.)

- Haynesville – East Texas and Northwestern Louisiana. East Texas counties include (Upshur, Marion, Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Angelina, San Augustine, Sabine, Wood, Freestone, Anderson, Henderson, Van Zandt, Leon, Houston and Trinity.) Northwestern Louisiana parishes include (Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Lincoln, Bienville, Jackson, De Soto, Red River, Sabine and Natchitoches.)

- Houston – Houston/Harris County and seven surrounding counties (Fort Bend, Chambers, Montgomery, Liberty, Brazoria, Galveston, Waller)

- Permian – 21 counties in West Texas & 2 in East New Mexico (Gaines, Dawson, Borden, Andrews, Martin, Howard, Loving, Winkler, Ector, Midland, Glasscock, Sterling, Coke, Ward, Crane, Upton, Reagan, Irion, Tom Green, Crockett, Schleicher, TX and Lea & Eddy, NM.)

- Rocky Mountain – Colorado, Utah, Wyoming & North Dakota

- Corporate Members – Current employees of Gold, Platinum or Elite corporate members who live and/or work in the lower 48 states are eligible for assistance if they meet the other qualifying criteria.

The applicant must be employed a minimum of one year in the Upstream, Exploration & Production sector of the energy industry and at least 75% of their income must have been derived from that employment.  The upstream industry finds and produces crude oil and natural gas. The upstream sector includes searching for potential crude oil and natural gas fields, drilling exploratory wells, and subsequently drilling and operating the wells that recover and bring the crude oil or raw natural gas to the surface.

Applicant must be in a financial crisis situation by no fault of their own.
