Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH), a non-profit organization helping oilfield families in financial crisis due to no fault of their own, has received a donation of $37,500 from the Colorado Energy Foundation (CEF), a supporting organization of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA).

The CEF seeks to amplify existing philanthropic efforts of the oil and gas industry in Colorado and develop new community partnerships through strategic investment. This year, more than $150,000 was raised to distribute to its community partners on behalf of the oil and gas industry.

Sally Hallingstad, OHH volunteer and CEF board president, said, “Oilfield Helping Hands is devoted to providing financial assistance to oilfield workers in financial crisis. Since our inception in 2003, we have distributed more than $5 million in financial aid. We are excited to work with COGA and the CEF to provide even more support to our oilfield family, as well as help to educate others about our great industry.”

“Oil and natural gas workers provide the fuel that drives our economy and supports our daily lives. These hardworking men and women are also family,” said Dan Haley, president and CEO, COGA. “It’s important they get the support they need, when they need it, especially in times of crisis. COGA is proud to partner with OHH and the volunteers who provide financial assistance and security for the oil and natural gas community,” he concluded.

Sara Reynolds, director, CEF, said, “During unprecedented times of economic uncertainty such as this, financial insecurity is a concern that many are facing no matter what the industry. Thanks to OHH, many of those working in the oil and natural gas industry have access to a support network that assists families dealing with unexpected hardships.”
